Dr. Lisa Bell
Dr. Lisa D. Bell possesses over 17 years of professional experience which includes training & administration, K-12 curriculum design, Graduate Medical Education (GME) program management & analysis, evaluation, research & design, and business management. She has served in various capacities within federal, state, and local government branches, academic institutions, and private business sectors; which have included the Louis Stokes Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center (LSVAMC), Cuyahoga Community College (CCC Metropolitan Campus) Office of Campus President, and NASA Glenn Research Center’s Office of STEM Engagement (NASA OSTEM).
Dr. Bell designed and implemented a series of professional development workshops for 2014-2018 GME trainees that focused on “self-care and mindfulness for the medical practitioner”, which were well-received. While in her current role at NASA Glenn as Sr. Project Management and Coordination Specialist, she diligently responded to the COVID-19 pandemic, fueled by her passion for education and service to the public. Dr. Bell led and participated in a host of program coordination and management efforts which successfully converted many of NASA’s traditional in-person STEM programs to remote learning opportunities. This permitted NASA’s Office of STEM Engagement K-12 programs to extend its reach, services, and impacts to numbers reported in excess 3,000 students and educators across Fiscal Years 2020 and 2021.
On Dr. Bell’s spare time she enjoys the outdoors, her daughter, time with family & friends, working on her therapeutic massage craft, seafood, and traveling.
